In this tradition, the groom&#8217;s family comes to the bride&#8217;s family and makes a formal request to marry her. An elder man from the groom&#8217;s family, who is an experienced speaker and a close friend of the family, usually makes this request.<\/p><p>During the &#8220;K\u0131z isteme,&#8221; singles and unmarried guests can also be present. The suitor can take the opportunity to ask his friends and relatives if they know someone who could be a suitable partner for an unmarried guest. This provides singles with an opportunity to meet other singles and potentially find a partner.<\/p><p>Another custom common among the Crimean Tatars is the &#8220;Y\u00fcz\u00fck Takma&#8221; or the &#8220;Ring Placement&#8221; ceremony.
