"Dream Woman Wanted" is a documentary series on TV station RTL II. "Dream Woman Wanted" accompanies men in their search for a partner and shows how the internet allows people to search for a partner across national borders. "Dream Woman Wanted" is a production of the Tele München Group in collaboration with Eyeworks for RTL II. The first season was broadcast in fall 2011 on RTL II. The documentary series shows how online matchmaking works and accompanies men as they head to Eastern Europe and elsewhere to meet their potential partners. However, because there are many more women than men in countries such as Russia and Ukraine, the desire for a family remains unfulfilled for many women. Binational Marriages Last Longer

Low risk of divorce with cross-cultural marriages

Cross-cultural marriages are more stable and are less likely to divorce than marriages of two Germans. The "Association of Binational Families and Partnerships iaf" compared the divorce rates of marriages between Germans and foreign partners with the average divorce rates and came to this surprising result. This is also clearly backed by figures from registry offices and courts: while 7.6% of all marriages in Germany are between a foreign woman and a German man, the proportion of divorces is one-third less than the average rate.
